SHEET METAL VLS

The Sheet Metal Vertical Lift System (VLS) is a top-of-the-line automated storage and retrieval system (AS/AR) designed to efficiently store and retrieve cartridges weighing up to 5,000 lbs. By integrating storage and processing, the VLS can eliminate costly retrieval steps, increase production machinery uptime, and reduce associated labor costs.

Call for an empty pallet from the tower to be brought over to the loading table.
The lift will lower the pallet onto the table, allowing the pins on the table to go through the open spaces of the pallet.
With the lift fully lowered, the loading cart’s pins will protrude 5 inches above the surface of the pallet. Now, sheets can be lowered onto the pins with a forklift or overhead crane.
The lift raises the pallet – lifting the sheets from the pins – and continues to raise until it reaches its designated position in the tower.
